The U.S. Dept of Health & Human Services has drafted their mission strategy that will be implemented for the next four years. When submitting revisements to their plan, they have included the definition of life as “beginning with conception and explicitly protecting religious or moral convictions.
Their direct quote is as stated, “HHS accomplishes its mission through programs and initiatives that cover a wide spectrum of activities, serving and protecting Americans at every stage of life, beginning at conception....our ultimate goal is to improve healthcare options for all people, including the unborn, across healthcare settings.”
The implications of HHS using this as their moral compass for the next four years will be a huge detriment to abortion and the industry that abortion provides.
Executive Director of Hoosiers for Life, Amy Schlichter stated, “Acknowledging life begins at conception and protecting innocent human life is the duty of every American. Our country should always be advocating for our children. I am pleased to see our nation taking a stand and hope that HHS follows through with providing protection for the most innocent of human lives, pre-born children.
